Tree Removals 

Tree removals can be anything from small to large decaying trees. Whilst we do not push for the removal of trees, sometimes they are too damaged or are causing damage to the environment around them to remain. Whether it has outgrown its space or is dying we are experienced in the removal of trees to preserve the space it has taken over. Stump Removal 

Whether you’ve had your tree removed and do not want the stump re-grow, or if you’ve just got one you’re tired of tripping over, we offer a stump grinding service. With our stump grinding machine we will remove your stump and roots to below ground level. In a domestic or commercial property, narrow access is no problem as our machine will fit through almost any gateway! For the few stumps that we cannot get to with our machine, we also offer an ecoplug treatment, this will kill the stump to prevent re-growth by drilling plugs into it. This is environmentally friendly and the safest way of killing the stump. Any stump any size no problem we can sort it for you. 

Felling/Full Dismantles 

Tree felling is usually undertaken at ground level and requires a designated area for the tree to fall safely into. However, if it’s not safe to fell the tree in one go we will dismantle it in pieces, this is the process whereby we will cut manageable sections from the tree and lower them down to the ground safely avoiding any obstacles below.

Tree Pollarding 

Pollarding is a heavy form of pruning often carried out on mature trees this method provides a dense head of foliage to the tree. Once a tree has been pollarded it is good practice to re-pollard it regularly throughout its life to manage it effectively and if left untouched it can fail due to heavy re-growth on one point. 

Crown Reductions 

If your tree is becoming too large or you want to allow more light into your property/garden then a crown reduction is for you. The tree is pruned back to a growing point to reduce the overall canopy of the tree. A crown reduction is also completed to remove any dead or damaged branches. 

Crown Lifts and Thins Crown 

Lifting involves removing the lower branches of the tree to increase the clearance of the tree from ground level. Often this is required to be done on trees which are overhanging public pathways or roads. Crown thinning involves removing a number of branches in such a way that it produces a balanced crown structure, without altering the overall shape or shape of the tree but resulting in improved light levels. It reduces the sail effect of the crown and also reduces the wind loading upon the limbs of the tree. 

Aesthetic Pruning / Crown Shaping

It’s important to keep shrubs and other plants in good condition with regular pruning and trimming. This will improve a plant’s shape and encourage flowers and fruits. However, pruning must be done with care to avoid damage.
